This morning, when I woke up for my long run, I felt the weight of #resistance strong and undeniable. Every excuse started piling up in my mind—You didn’t get enough sleep, you didn’t plan your route, your legs are sore, you can do it later, you have work, etc.

I hit the snooze button, but instantly, the months of consistent #training, not just of my body but of my mind, kicked in. I realized I’ve been here before. I knew that if I just got up and started the process, I wouldn’t regret it. So, I pushed myself to rise.

The run itself was tough—windy and rainy, conditions that made every step feel heavier. I wanted to quit, to turn around, and take the easy way out. I kept telling myself, "I got out the door, that’s good enough, right?" Or "Once I get to that point, I’ll just cut it short."

But this is the exact moment that I believe needs the most attention when training for an #ultramarathon. The mental battle is often tougher than the physical one. You have to #PUSH (Persist Until Something Happens). What happened when I pushed through was simple: I reminded myself of the bigger picture—the challenge ahead. Big goals require massive action, and I knew I had to keep moving forward.

What I learned today is that your mind is the muscle that will ultimately determine your fate. When resistance creeps in, oppose it with #massiveaction. Every time you push through those moments, you build resilience, and over time, this compounding strength takes you places you could never have imagined.

Happy Training Y’all! Keep pushing! 💪
