Always have a plan…

Always have a plan…

#Consistency is key. I make it a point to map out my entire training schedule a month in advance, planning out my daily runs, strength training sessions, and scheduled rest days. It’s a framework that keeps me on track and helps ensure I’m consistently building toward my goals. While these goals are far from easy, I know that with hard work, discipline, and determination, I’ll be prepared to take on whatever challenge comes my way. This detailed approach also allows for flexibility. I can reassess each week and adjust my plan as needed—whether that means accommodating work travel, dealing with unexpected illnesses, managing burnout, or simply handling whatever life decides to throw at me.

The truth is, no one’s journey is perfect. We all encounter tough days, and there are times when I fall short of my targets or miss the mileage I had planned. That’s part of the process. It’s important to remember that training for something as demanding as an #ultramarathon isn’t about achieving perfection every day—it’s about progress, consistency, and perseverance. Even when the plan doesn’t unfold exactly as expected, I remind myself that setbacks are just that—temporary. I refocus, recalibrate, and get back on track, always pushing forward.

Training for an ultramarathon is truly a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Some days feel like you’re flying, while others can feel like an uphill battle. But in the end, the goal remains the same: to keep moving forward, regardless of the challenges. I know that as long as I stay committed to the process, trust the journey, and continue putting in the work, crossing that finish line will be all the more rewarding. 💪 🏃‍♂️
